Why buy instruments from Inspire-works?

All our instruments are fairly traded and ethically sourced from West Africa, Brazil, Spain, India and USA.

Our workshop facilitators trial any new products in their workshops for at least one term before we offer the product as part of our shop to ensure they are of a high quality, are durable and have the best possible sound.

We have worked closely with master drum makers in West Africa and samba factories in Brazil to develop products that are authentic yet suitable for use by children (i.e. suitable size, weight, no dangerous lug spikes, shorter stick lengths etc).

“Inspire-works’ passion is clear - the [quality of the] percussion instruments, from the Brazilian surdo to the REMO products are central to the pupil’s experience and enjoyment of world music.” Music Teacher Magazine July 2019
