Using peer-reviewed and evidence-based drumming exercises these fun workshops have been proven to reduce stress, boost the immune system, improve the mood and burn calories! 

• The live workshops take place on Zoom video and are fully interactive!

• Participants can join in using a real drum, junk percussion instrument or body percussion!

Inspire-works’ HealthRHYTHMS workshops have been designed by our Musical Director, Mike Simpson, who is a trained REMO HealthRHYTHMS Facilitator, Rhythm2Recovery Facilitator, Mental Health Youth First Aider and an Associate of the Royal Society for Public Health. Our Mental Health First Aid trained facilitators encourage the participants to use the drum as a tool for communication and personal expression.

Our HealthRHYTHMS workshops are designed for adult participants. We also facilitate live rhythm & wellbeing sessions for children as part of our #BodyPercussion #RecoveryCurriculum.

Practical details:

• These workshops work best when all participants can see each other during the Zoom meeting. Therefore, please make sure you’re appropriately dressed and have considered what is behind you in the shot!

• It will work best if you use headphones and if you can be in a quiet, undisturbed place throughout the workshop.

Technical requirements:

• After you register for a workshop we will email you the Zoom unique Meeting ID & Password that can be used to join the workshop on a laptop, PC, tablet or mobile device.

• To join your workshop, phone and tablet users will need to install the Zoom App, which you can find in the App store for their device. Once installed, you can click the link in the invitation to join the meeting.

Privacy & Safeguarding:

We are committed to protecting the privacy and maintaining the security of any personal information received from you. We strictly adhere to the requirements of the data protection legislation in the UK. During live online workshops we are not able to access any personal details of the participants and the participants are not able to access any of our facilitators personal details as per Zoom’s privacy and safeguarding systems already in place.
